The Cummings Poker League presents...

Casino Night

This special CPL event takes place on Saturday, March 18th.

We are excited for CPL's third time hosting Casino Night. Please carefully read the details below.

Casino Night is a gambling party built around fun and prizes. Players will take part in the following casino games: Blackjack, Three Card Poker, Roulette, and Let It Ride. Everyone will start the night with a set amount of chips and visit all four tables in fifteen minute increments. The objective is to win as many chips as possible (and not go broke!). The dealers will play by Vegas rules, so come ready for the real experience!

The buy-in for Casino Night is unique. There are three levels of your buy-in, each giving you $150 in chips. The levels must be paid in the order listed below. The maximum amount of chips a player can start the night with is $450. Here are the levels:

Level 1: $10 payment
Level 2Dressed in one of the themes of the night
Level 3: $5 payment

For example, a player may choose to pay $10 and dress up (levels 1 & 2 only) and receive $300 in chips for the night. However, a player can't choose to dress up and pay only $5 for $300 (thus skipping level 1). All 3 levels may be paid but they can only be submitted in order! A player who runs out of chips will have the option to purchase more (explained below the roster).

Food will NOT be provided. We invite players to bring a snack/appetizer to share.

So what's the dress theme, you ask? As usual, Casino Night has a dual-theme for costumes. Choose one of the themes and get creative!!

Theme 1: X
or
Theme 2: X

PRIZES! 3 prizes will be awarded once the night ends. They are:

Highest Chip Stack: 50% of cash pool
2nd Highest Chip Stack: 20% of cash pool
Best Dressed: 30% of cash pool

**There will be a Bounty Texas Hold'em Tournament following the event. It will be a $10 buy-in for those interested.

Second Table: 6:25-6:40pm
Break: 6:40-6:50pm
Third Table: 6:50-7:05pm

*The Wild Table is the fifth and final table players visit. They can try to maximize their chip stacks at any one table they wish (as long as there are seats available).

CHIPS: Players will start with a minimum of $150 in chips and a maximum of $450 in chips. If a player runs out of chips before playing at all five tables, they can purchase $200 more in chips for an additional $5 of real money. Players can only purchase extra chips if they are completely broke! Denominations:

Black = $100
All Other Colors
= $5

This event takes place at Russ' house at 6pm sharp. The official Casino Night date is 3/18/17

All tables have a $5 minimum and $25 maximum bet. Dealers are in total control of their tables. Dealers solve all conflicts; a misdeal of any kind results in a dead hand (no players paid). Players are forbidden to share chips at anytime during the event (especially at the very end!). Players will visit all tables for a minimum of fifteen minutes. The Wild Table is NOT optional. Players can never sit out two hands in a row; this rule prohibits players from gaining an edge by protecting their chip stack by not playing. Levels 1, 2, and 3 can only be paid in that exact order for buy-in. All entries are nonrefundable. Only Level 1 builds the prize pool. Level 3 funds are used for the dealers and CPL to help run the event (supplies, etc.). Voting for best dressed will be different this year--randomly selected players will help the dealers privately vote! Only players with zero chips can purchase 200 more chips for $5. CPL directors (Robbie Cummings, Russell Pullen, Nick Kinard) reserve the right to alter the denominations of chip colors. Conflicts that a dealer feels he can't resolve will be addressed by a director. The host will be granted Level 1 for free. Players will rotate to a predetermined table on each rotation (a player will travel with the same group of players on his/her first 4 tables). Players can choose their fifth and final table to gamble on the last fifteen minutes, however, a table can never hold more than 6 players. If a player excessively or deliberately violates the rules stated above, he/she will be removed from the event without a refund.
